Table to CSV: Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-20
Table to CSV is a Chrome extension that exports HTML tables on a web page as CSV or spreadsheet-ready text. It does not collect, sell or share any user data. No table data and no browsing data is ever transmitted.
Free version
- It collects no personal data and no browsing data.
- It makes no network requests. It loads no remote code and uses no analytics, advertising or third-party services.
- It reads the table contents of the active tab only when you open the popup. They are processed locally in the popup and discarded when the popup closes.
- The only value it keeps is your delimiter choice (comma or semicolon). It is stored in
chrome.storage.sessiononly, and is cleared when the browser closes.
Pro version (optional unlock key)
- Pro is unlocked with a key you buy at tinygrid.eu/table-to-csv-pro/. Payment is handled by Stripe on its own page. The extension never sees payment details.
- Only after you enter a key, the extension sends that unlock key (and nothing else) to
tinygrid.eu(/api/check-token) to check that it is valid and not expired. The check is repeated at most once every 24 hours. - Pro stores three things in
chrome.storage.localon your device: the unlock key, the result of the last 24-hour check, and your settings (delimiter, BOM, clean-up options). You can delete the key with the Remove key button, or by removing the extension. - No table data, page content, URLs or browsing history are ever transmitted. Table processing, merging and cleaning happen locally.
- Nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
Permissions
- activeTab: gives temporary access to the current tab only after you click the toolbar icon, so the extension can read the tables on that page. No host permissions are used.
- scripting: runs the bundled table-reading script in the active tab after you open the popup. No remote code is run.
- storage: remembers your delimiter choice for the browser session (session storage). With Pro, it also stores the unlock key, the last check result and your settings locally (
chrome.storage.local). - Access to tinygrid.eu: lets the Pro version check the unlock key with our server. No other site is contacted.
